27 July 2007 - New XP History Script

Please check out and test this new temporary page: XP History, and offer any comment via the PM function. It should detect situations like non-updating statistic pages better. Please note that the skills/graph on the new player pages are not using the new version yet.

12 July 2007 - Incorrect XP History Statistics

As many people have pointed out via PM (thanks!), the XP history statistics are not recording the information properly. I believe this is partly because Tibia.com isn't updating as often as it should, but my script also doesn't handle this very well. The script will be updated this weekend to take these sorts of errors into account so this won't happen in the future!

As a result, however, the Powergamer statistics for all worlds will need to be reset, as will the Personal Bests.

3 July 2007 - Honera Statistics

Regarding Honera's XP history statistics, I am aware of the problem and am working on a solution. Thanks for all your PMs! ;)

27 June 2007 - Slow Site

If you can't access erig.net or TibiaWiki or they are responding slowly, this may be why:

8 June 2007 - Set Your XP History Country

If you are on your world's Top 300 Experience list, you can now set your country which will show a small country flag in your XP History World listing.

The flag will be added to other pages as well.

Update: Slight bug fixed regarding names with ' in them. Also, you can find out what country a flag represents by hovering your mouse over the flag!

Update 2: Over 1500 characters have set their country flag so far. Tell all your friends! Added A Top 100 XP By Country list.

19 May 2007 - 2007 Summer Update Teaser #1

Welcome to Svargrond

To prepare you for this year's summer update, we would like to tell you about the newly discovered settlement Svargrond - for sure the coldest city in whole Tibia. Svargrond is situated on Hrodmir, the largest isle of the Ice Islands. The city can either be reached by ship or by carpet. However, if you want to visit one of the nearby islands, you are well advised to take the dog sled.

There are people of 2 different backgrounds living in this chilly settlement. On the one hand, there are the natives who have been in this area for a very long time living a nomadic lifestyle. Today, some of them still live in camps outside of Svargrond but others were attracted by the more comfortable way of living in a city and moved there. On the other hand, there are settlers that originate from Carlin. Their ancestors were attracted by the valuable ores which can be found in the close-by mines. They were the ones that founded a small settlement in the North which has developed into the prospering city Svargrond. It is characterised by a unique, rustic style with long blockhouses.

Today, it is inhabited by natives and Carliners alike. The wealthier inhabitants of Svargrond live in large houses decorated with various ornaments. It is said that the more ornaments embellish a house, the richer are the people living in there. Many people, however, earn their living as fishermen or furriers. They live in cozy huts in separated quarters to the south.

Fancy searching out your warm clothes and going ice fishing? There are rumours about some undiscovered fish species in the north. If you are a Premium Account player and not too scared by this inhospitable climate, you can visit this cool city soon yourself. To see more pictures of Svargrond, have a look at the other supported fansites!

25 April 2007 - Soft Boots Calculations

Soft Boots calculations are now included on the Magic Level Calculator.

23 March 2007 - Kill Statistics

The kill statistics/boss pages have returned, most likely due to your overwhelming response to the official Tibia Feedback Form regarding "missing statistics" as a negative point of the new website.

17 January 2007 - Tibia Forum Expand

The new Tibia Forums are awfully narrow, so I created a Greasemonkey script to solve the issue. You can get it here: TibiaForumExpand. Enjoy!

11 January 2007 - Concerning Kill Statistics

I've had a few PMs wondering why I removed the kill/boss statistics from my site. With the new Tibia.com website, the entire "Census" information is no longer available, thus I can no longer gather statistics from it. If you are unhappy with this and would like to see it return, please use the official Proposals board, such as this thread, or this one.

9 January 2007 - Tibia Guild Who's Online Update

The Tibia Guide Who's Online userscript has been updated to accomodate the new Tibia.com website design.

29 December 2006 - Happy New Year!

Just a short thanks to all who visit this site and its subsites. Although I don't get much of a chance to reply, it's still great receiving your in-game praises and web-based private messages! Let's see what 2007 has to bring! :)

1 December 2006 - 2006 Christmas Update Teaser #2

Today we would like to introduce you to some of the numerous new monsters roaming the newly discovered dungeons! You did not expect rats and rabbits to guard the untold treasures of this place, did you? It is said that many of the new monsters have risen directly from hell. The dark torturer and the destroyer both depend on their bulging muscles with which they can easily crush a man's head. The wicked plaguesmiths depend on a more cowardly tactic, bringing plagues and diseases to the world of the humans. And look at the fearsome hellhound! It is said that its fearsome fangs command respect even from mighty demons.

And there are worse creatures! Other creatures are not even from this plane. Nightmares are distorted demons feeding on the dreams of mortals. Lost souls, spectres and betrayed wraiths are mighty undead who have returned to the world of the living to bring horror and pain. More fearsome still is the undead dragon. Those who are already afraid of living dragons are well advised to flee from their undead cousins, as these hideous abominations are even deadlier. Blightwalkers, on the other hand, have never even been living creatures. They are the grotesque creation of demons distilled from the very essence of death, plague and decay. Finally, the hand of cursed fate, another bizarre demonic creature, rushes to attack on its nimble fingers. But beware, if you are caught by these vicious hands you are sure to be crushed to a pile of bones.

10 November 2006 - 2006 Christmas Update Teaser

This year Santa has made a present for his little elfish helpers. Since nature left its marks on the wooden walls of the evergreen elven city Ab'dendriel, Santa decided that it is high time to restore all buildings there. The decayed walls have been replaced by new solid tree walls which can be embellished by Premium players with family pictures, colourful tapestries, fancy cuckoo clocks or shiny mirrors. The awesome new tree houses impress particularly with their knothole windows and their terrific roofs decorated with gnarled roots, grass mats and exotic plants. Also the old planks of the bridges have been refurbished. Finally, when it gets dark and you look very closely, you might spot one of the little fireflies that Santa has left in this area to brighten the gloomy sky at night-time.

12 October 2006 - Userbar PHP script available

Since I cannot provide hosting services for the dynamic online userbar images, I am putting the script behind it into the Public Domain. You can get a copy here: http://static.erig.net/userbar.php.txt. You will need to make a few changes to get it working for you, but feel free to use it as a basis for your dynamic image creations!

16 September 2006 - Tibia Teamspeak Server

I've set up a temporary Teamspeak server. If it's popular, maybe I'll keep it up?! Connect to "erig.net" as the server name.

30 August 2006 - Deleted Characters Removed From Statistics

Previously, deleted characters would stay in the Tibia.com statistics for months, sometimes years, after the character was deleted. But it seems that has changed recently, as hundreds of deleted characters have been removed from the statistics, as shown by the lack of players in the Deleted Characters page.

26 August 2006 - User Scripts Page

Added a dedicated User Scripts page, for Greasemonkey scripts.

24 August 2006 - Tibia Guild WhosOnline GreaseMonkey Script

Another script for all you GreaseMonkey fans. This time it's a script that will add a link to any Tibia.com guild page that lets you only show online players of that guild. Try it out!

Tibia Guild Whos Online Screenshot

Updated: Fixed a bug where it was choosing the wrong table when logged in. Improved online list searching method.

Updated #2: The online page was being cached in some instances - added an anti-caching mechanism.

Updated #3: Fixed a bug where it wasn't showing people online who had spaces in their name, in some instances.

18 August 2006 - Powergamer Statistics Reset

As per the poll, the global and world powergamer statistics have been reset. However, the existing powergamer statistics were saved in an archive.

3 August 2006 - Online Graphics Removed (Temporarily)

I have taken down the online graphics (normal, userbar, guild). Due to their popularity, my server was processing 30 dynamically generated images per second and it couldn't take the load. I may add the feature back if a way to reduce the load presents itself. Sorry!

1 August 2006 - House/Guild list updated

I have updated the house and guildhall lists to include Liberty Bay.

1 August 2006 - Guild Online Userbar

http://online.erig.net/guild/Dark_Side.png:

'Nuff said.

29 July 2006 - Online/Offline Userbar

In addition to yesterday's feature, I added userbars!

Check it out:

To use it: http://online.erig.net/userbar/<character_name>.png

28 July 2006 - New Feature: Online/Offline Image

I have added a new beta service to show, as an image, when a character is online or offline. It updates once every 10 minutes.

For example:

To use it on a forum, one would do , for instance:

.

If it's popular, I may add other features, like custom messages, etc., but for now, enjoy!

26 July 2006 - 2006 Summer Update Teaser #3

Fancy a new set of clothes for your battle-hardened hero? Then this is the update teaser for you! Today you will learn all you need to know about the cool new outfits that will be available with the update.

All of the four basic outfits have been revamped - just take a look at the gallant new knight and the nimble hunter! What's more, 11 Premium outfits will be available, 8 of them completely new, so Premium players will now be able to choose from a total of 15 unique outfits! However, not all of these new outfits will be available immediately. While you can choose to look like a ... barbarian, a ... wizard or a ... druid right away, you will have to solve challenging quests before you will be allowed to dress up like a grim assassin or a fierce pirate. Further outfits are hidden somewhere, so make sure to ask any people you meet about their outfit!

But there is more! Premium players will be able to find additional accessories for their outfits. Now, each outfit can be upgraded further by activating so-called addons. All over Tibia you may now come across NPCs wearing these special accessories. Ask them about their addon to learn how you can gain these addons for yourself. But be warned, the missions they will send you on may be tough! Your journey will be long and tiring, dreadful monsters must be overcome, and treasures hidden in dark and secret places must be unearthed. However, the daring heroes who brave the many challenges will be able to impress other adventurers with their snazzy outfit addons. Take on the challenge and win an addon for your favourite outfit as a token of your bravery!

12 July 2006 - 2006 Summer Update Teaser #2

As promised, this week's update teaser will take a closer look at a few of the sailors' tales about the weird creatures that roam Tibia's new Premium area, the mysterious Shattered Isles.

Even though the landscape of the Shattered Isles seems peaceful and lush, the idyll is deceptive. Not all creatures are as harmless as the cackling seagulls. Many a shipwrecked sailor has been attacked by innocent-looking amphibians such as multi-coloured frogs or slimy toads. Even more dangerous are the thornback tortoise and the blood crab. The real scourge of the South Seas, however, are the fierce pirates. There isn't a seaman who does not tremble at the thought of spotting the dreaded black flag on the horizon, and few who had to face the ferocious marauders and the cunning cutthroats in combat have lived to tell the tale. Even more feared, however, are the bloodthirsty buccaneers and the vicious corsairs, who rose to lead their brethren by being the wildest and the most ruthless of them all. Rumour has it that some of these jackals of the seas are so evil that they defy death itself, continuing their cursed existence even beyond their graves!

But this is not all! It is said that an evil cult has a number of hideouts on the Shattered Isles. There are stories of dark rituals and bloody sacrifices, but no reliable proof to substantiate these rumours has been found yet. A terrible reality, however, is the mysterious amphibian race called the quara. Long thought to be the product of a rum-dazed sailor's imagination, these weird creatures have made their presence felt by raiding Liberty Bay, causing mayhem and destruction.

11 July 2006 - Tibia House Linker

I created a Greasemonkey script for someone, which links houses on a player's Tibia.com character page to erig.net's House Permalink system. If you are using Firefox and Greasemonkey, and are comfortable installing Greasemonkey user scripts, feel free to take advantage of this script, which you can get here.

10 July 2006 - Graph generation bug

Fixed a bug that stopped the graphs from being automatically generated. Sorry about that!

28 June 2006 - 2006 Summer Update Teaser

As part of our weekly update teaser series, we will let you sneak a peek today at some of the many new hunting grounds that will be available to all Premium players after the summer update. If you are a brave adventurer and you are eager to free the world of some evil creatures, the Shattered Isles are the place you are looking for. Lesser-experienced characters will enjoy hunting the exotic creatures that dwell on the idyllic Laguna Islands. For those of you who prefer a more traditional challenge we recommend the dungeons below Liberty Bay, which are crawling with unsavoury rotworms. Take a look at the re-designed rotworms and their awesome big cousins, the carrion worms!

Mid- and high-level characters will find great hunting opportunities at the Forbidden Islands. Unfortunately, this mysterious archipelago is very difficult to find. The few sailors who set foot on these islands and lived to tell the tale were shipwrecked off the treacherous coast, their half-dead bodies washed ashore during one of the terrible thunderstorms that torment the South Seas. All kind of exotic monsters await adventurers on the 5 isles which make up this archipelago. Of course, there will also be a great variety of new creatures to fight, but this is another story that will be told some other day ....

9 June 2006 - Moved servers, again!

That's right. There were more technical difficulties than I envisioned, so I apologise for those. Happy statting! ;)

1 June 2006 - Problems with Keltera, Pythera, Zanera

For the past week Keltera, Pythera, and Zanera have not been updating their statistics on the official Tibia.com website. As a result, my statistics have also not updated. CipSoft have now rectified this problem. Unfortunately due to the excessive amount of downtime there was a bug in the way my script processed statistics that weren't updating for long durations, and as such, the "World Most XP", "Powergamers", "World Powergamers", and some "Player Bests" had to be fixed due to the incorrect data. Work will be done to make sure this doesn't happen again (on my side, at least ;).

15 May 2006 - New Personal Bests Page

Added a new page. It gives a list of the Top 20 Personal Bests (where a personal best is a player's best recorded XP history day) for each world.

13 May 2006 - Kill Bosses bug fixed

Fixed a bug that wasn't allowing the boss kill history to update properly.

30 April 2006 - Added Atom XML site feed

Added an Atom XML site feed for the news page. It is located here: http://static.erig.net/atom.xml. Firefox users will notice the "Add Live Bookmark..." button in the address bar.

Other feeds may be added in the future, such as daily updates on XP histories, etc.

27 April 2006 - Added "Rank #1s" skill page

Added a list of ranked #1 players in their respective skills for their world. Requested by Asuka Takigawa, and in his words:

It'd be nice for players that want to start a new world with low levels to be able to come here and view the top player of each world all in one nice list rather than having to check each individual page.

25 April 2006 - Added new skills page

Added a new page, which replicates Tibia.com's skill pages. I did this because it's often quite annoying having to scroll through 12 pages of statistics to find a person, etc. Also added the option of highlighting a player in the list, as an easy way to show your friends where you are at.

11 April 2006 - Added deleted statistics to XP histories

Added deleted statistics to the XP histories. Players on their world's Top 300 Experience list, but have been deleted will now appear like this. Also check out the list.

22 March 2006 - Added individual world powergamer statistics

Added a much-requested feature: Individual world Powergamer statistics. The data for these new statistics only go back a month from today, so there are a lot of opportunities to make the list on your world! Enjoy!

17 March 2006 - Added "% remaining" to magic level calculator, GH column

Added a "% remaining" option to the Magic Level Calculator.

Added a guildhall column to the Guilds page.

13 March 2006 - Public friend graphs

Added the ability to make your friend graph visible to the public. Thanks to Acillatem Feist for the idea!

9 March 2006 - Stylesheet downtime, new static page

The stylesheets and other static content were unavailable for a few hours as the server was rebooted but the static content server did not come back up as expected. I have since moved the static content server to another IP and port, so this will not be a problem in the future, and the port change may also help some people with firewalls and/or proxies access the site better. Since a DNS change was done for "static.erig.net", it may take some time for some people's ISP DNS cache to reflect the new IP.

2 March 2006 - Added "% remaining" to XP calculator

Added a "% remaining" option to the XP Calculator, which allows you to find out the XP required for a level taking the percent remaining for the initial level into account. Ie, Level 56 (with 34% remaining) to Level 57, or Level 31 (with 61% remaining) to Level 50. The default is 100% remaining.

20 February 2006 - Tibia website down, new poll, improved error functionality to statistics pages

As you are no doubt aware, the Tibia.com webserver has had some issues for the last couple of days. As a result, the statistics here have not been updating. When the statistics section is fully functional on Tibia.com, rest assured my site will continue to update, albeit with the lack of a few days of data.

While you're waiting, vote on the latest poll, and remember you can suggest poll ideas by contacting me!

I added the ability for the XP History world pages to still be displayed in case of error (such as previously mentioned ;). Of course, the data shown will be old. This setting has to be manually edited, so it will not always be in effect.

8 February 2006 - Added limited skill history to skill pages

Added a basic skill history to the Top 500 skill pages. It tells you the change in skill for each player, since the start of the current calendar month.

29 January 2006 - Increased friends limit

Increased the friends limit to 20.

25 January 2006 - Added "guild creation date" to guild page

Added a guild creation date column to the Guilds page.

17 January 2006 - Added XP history friends list

Added an XP History Friends List. This is a feature for registered users to view their friends in the XP histories at a glance on the one page. It also has a graph. Currently the number of "friends" is limited to 10, but this will be increased.

13 January 2006 - Added world-based boss histories

Added world-based Boss Histories, so you can glance at all bosses killed per world in the last 30 days.

10 January 2006 - Added user account system

Since an overwhelming majority of players thought that having a user account to vote with was a better alternative, I have now added user accounts. For the moment, the only functionality they have is to allow you to vote on each poll, but more additions may be added in the future!

27 December 2005 - Player level information added to skill statistics

Added player level information to the Top 500 skill statistics.

23 December 2005 - Random world name generator

Bored while waiting for the Kyra or Ocera Rookgaard login queue? Try my Random Server Name Generator. It generates some humourous server name proposals! (and occasionally a good one) ;). JavaScript required.

20 December 2005 - Added guild statistics page

Added guild statistics. This feature was often requested via many PMs, and was inspired by Rudolf Chan's great work in this area which unfortunately became inactive, and he then removed. The guild statistics will be updated weekly or possibly fortnightly, depending on server load.

Note that guilds still in formation, or guilds with less than 5 members are not counted.

15 December 2005 - Added poll system

Added a poll system. Voting requires character authentication, which is a little cumbersome, but it is a much more reliable way of doing polls. If you have a poll idea, don't hesitate to contact me. Enjoy!

14 December 2005 - Tibia resets all worlds, statistics removed

Due to Tibia's 2 full world resets today, the XP histories for today could not be trusted, and therefore have been removed. As usual, things will get back to normal in a couple of days.

7 December 2005 - Site design modifications

People with screen resolutions of 800x600 or less had a problem viewing the menu as the new design is best viewed in 1024x768 or above. Therefore, I have added an option to move the menu left or right depending on what position you prefer. You can find this link at the bottom of the menu. Also, this option will only work if you have cookies enabled.

Added a Player XP history search option directly to the menu.

6 December 2005 - New site design, summary section

As you can see, we have a brand new site design. Hope you like it! You may also notice some additional features such as the summary section to the right. Enjoy!

4 December 2005 - Added 30 day Global XP totals graph

Added a 30 day global XP totals graph to the Monster-based World Comparison page. The global XP total is actually very interesting. It represents, using the number of kills for each monster, multiplied by that monster's XP, for all worlds, the global XP that all Tibians made on a specific day. It's not entirely accurate but it's the closest we can get. The graph shows that a lot more XP is made on weekends! No surprises there. :)

1 December 2005 - PoTD Collage

PoTD Collage

I'm no graphics artist, but I was interested in how to "merge" two images together in Photoshop. Click on the thumbnail image to see the result. It is an 800x600 collage of 212 pieces of Tibianews Pictures of the Day! Have fun squinting for a few hours. ;)

24 November 2005 - More details on the Christmas update!

In addition to greatly improved new graphics that can be found all over Tibia, the Christmas update will also introduce the first step of a revised vocation and game balancing. It will only cover a limited part of the balancing problems in Tibia, so further adjustments for all vocations will follow in future updates.

This year's Christmas update will mainly concern druids and sorcerers of level 40 and below. As these classes have learnt to master the arcane forces of magic, they will now be able to wield powerful spell wands in combat. Those spell wands, which work in a way that is similar to regular weapons, will allow druids and sorcerers to gain experience points quicker in order to make up for the disadvantages these vocations have at lower levels when compared to knights and paladins. Magic wands can only be used by sorcerers and druids. There will be several types that differ in power and level requirement. When used in combat, they will consume a small amount of mana points with every hit which will count towards the magic level as usual. Spell wands can be bought in shops or looted from creatures.

Furthermore, the mana regeneration speed will be increased, and the mana costs of all spells will be adjusted accordingly. However, instant spells will become cheaper and therefore also more effective. Note that the maximum of mana will stay the same, so higher levels will now be needed to cast spells. As the magic system was introduced at a time when a level 50 character was still considered to be high-level, we have decided to readjust the required spell level minimums to the current situation. Being able to cast a spell will now depend on your experience level rather than on your magic level. You will not forget spells you have already learnt, but you will be unable to use them unless you have achieved the newly required level.

Again, these changes are only a first step into a whole new direction that will eventually bring exciting changes to all Tibian vocations!

Screenshots:

23 November 2005 - Added "prevent downgrade" option to XP calculator

Added an option to the XP Calculator to calculate how much XP you would need to not be downgraded at a specified level.

22 November 2005 - Jamera/Shivera statistics problem, world-specific deaths, Last 30 days Top 100 XP

Jamera and Shivera's XP statistics had a problem, so their data for today was removed and will be back to normal in a couple of days.

Added the ability to view world-specific deaths in the World Deaths page.

Added a "Last 30 Days" Top 100 XP list in the World Most XP page.

17 November 2005 - Statistics downtime

The statistics on Tibia.com were down, so my site could not collect any data for Top 500, XP histories, and all skills for today. It seems the statistics have now been fixed, so in the next scheduled update my pages will return to normal (with the exception of the XP histories needing two days to "recouperate").

15 November 2005 - New Server Location

I have moved the server to a new location and to a better server! erig.net now has more bandwidth, more HDD space, and more memory! Let me know via the PM function if you notice an error in the transition.

3 November 2005 - Added skill list to player XP histories

Added a new table to the individual XP player histories which shows a player's skills, but only if they appear in their world's Top 300 high score listing for that skill. This will likely be updated weekly.

30 October 2005 - Vocational world XP histories, boss history error fixed

Added the ability to view specific vocations on the world XP history pages - like the Top 500 XP page has. Sorry this simple, often-requested feature took so long to make it in!

I also solved a problem where the boss history had a double entry for today. The updater script ran twice because of daylight savings! :)

22 September 2005 - Eternia statistics problem

Eternia's XP history data for today had a problem, so it was removed. Hopefully it will be back to normal tomorrow, with the exception that today will not be recorded. Update: Eternia's data is still the same as two days ago, so today's data has also been removed.

7 September 2005 - Changed Top XP graph, thanks!

Since the Top 2 XP graph on the Powergamers page was getting a little boring (*cough*Cachero inactive*cough*), I changed it into the Top 5 XP instead, so now you can see some upcoming contenders for the #1 spot.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all the people that sent me PMs over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately I haven't had enough time to reply to them all, so if I didn't reply to yours, I'm sorry and consider this message as my gratitude for your kind words!

23 August 2005 - Removed Top 500 Powergamers page

Removed the (somewhat) redundant Top 500 XP Powergamers page. Also, the history buttons on the Top 500 pages (XP, 7 Day XP History) now refer to the newer XP histories page.

15 August 2005 - Added "Compare Players" page

Added a player versus player XP history comparison page. Shows an XP history graph of two players. Find out how well you're doing compared to other players!

13 August 2005 - New "Personal Best" icon

You may notice a new icon, Personal Best, next to some players' daily XP stats on the World XP History pages. This icon represents that the XP they obtained on that day was their highest ever recorded (their "Personal Best").

8 August 2005 - New website logo

Thrann has sent in a new logo for the site. I think it's great, thanks!

26 July 2005 - Added beds column to house/guildhall lists

Added a beds column to the house and guildhall lists.

17 July 2005 - Kill-statistics world comparison page, new powergamers page, new graph

Added a kill-statistics-based World Comparison page, and a new Powergamers page for the world Top 300 XP statistics. Currently, the Top 500 PG and World Top 300 PG pages will run concurrently. In the future, the Top 500 PG page may be deprecated, this is still undecided.

erig.net has also now gone graphical! You will notice a daily-generated graph of the Top 3 Tibia players by Experience at the bottom of the Top 300 World XP Powergamers page!

15 July 2005 - Tibia.com census page downtime

The Tibia.com census pages are working properly again after not being updated for a while, so pages in the "Statistics - Other" section should now be current.

14 July 2005 - Balera's statistics

It seems Balera's statistics today were not updated on Tibia.com, so any XP obtained today or tomorrow will not be counted for this world.

10 July 2005 - Added personal best, security test, database improvements

Added a "best recorded day" value for individual XP histories on the world Top 300 lists. This "personal best" record will remain even after 30 days have passed, and will continue to remain as long as you stay on your world's Top 300 list. Player data is completely removed from the database if you haven't been on your world's Top 300 list for over 30 days.

When searching for a player in the XP histories, if there is only one match, you will be automatically redirected to that player's history page.

Added a new test, the Tibia Security Test. Are your account and items safe? Try it out. :)

Greatly improved the database performance of the Top 300 histories. You should notice that the world pages load a lot faster now and that the daily generation is done a lot quicker, too!

8 July 2005 - Online Time Counter

A lot of people have been sending PMs asking whether I could do a global online time counter script for all worlds, so I thought I would address the issue here.

Such scripts do exist already (remember the old Nova one that got on Tibianews, and more recently, Pskonejott's). However, it's not feasible for my site to do this for all servers because it would generate far too many hits to Tibia.com than is acceptable (by me, as well as by CIP probably). If you check 60 worlds' Who's Online list every 5 minutes, that's 17,280 checks every single day, and I designed my scripts in a way that they try to be good netizens and not overload the Tibia.com webserver, so this script isn't feasible for any one site.

In short, this doesn't seem likely in the near future. If you do want this monitoring facility for your world, your best option would be to find out where you can download one of the online time scripts that were available and try setting it up yourself for your single world, as others have done.

6 July 2005 - Added daily world most XP page

Added a daily World Most XP page. Shows the Top 100 XP obtained today. To keep the existing Top 500 Powergamers exclusivity, no history will be made of this page, so you must still be a Top 500 player to make it into the Top 500 Powergamers list.

2 July 2005 - Added more info to Individual Top 500 pages

The individual Top 500 player XP history pages now show a table of other Top 500 pages that the character appears in, for easy reference. For example, check the bottom of EO's history. Thanks to Borr for the idea!

30 June 2005 - Added expanded XP history pages

Added some new statistics pages. I've expanded on the Top 500 list and now include 30 day XP histories for each world's Top 300list, as you can see. I've also added a Today's Death List page, as well as a Today's World Total XP page. Player vocations are currently being collected and should be completed within the next couple of days. Enjoy!

22 June 2005 - Added PM function, removed forum

Added a PM Function if you would like to contact me. As a result, I have removed the seldom-used forum software I was running (the link was removed about a month ago anyway). If you leave an email address, I will reply if time permits. Update: fixed a bug which would ban people from sending messages for no reason.

16 June 2005 - Textual Permalink URLs

Added textual permalinks to the house and guildhall listings. For example, the Bloodhall guildhall on Berylia can now be visited using either http://www.erig.net/guildhall/10005/53 or http://www.erig.net/guildhall/Berylia/Bloodhall. The permalinks have been tested successfully using the latest versions of Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer.

4 June 2005 - Changed layout of World Town page, added ability to sort XP history columns

In preparation for the summer update, I've changed the layout of World Town statistics page. Instead of an extremely large table, each town is now in its own separate table. You can also now click on a world to get town distribution statistics for just that world.

I have also added the ability to sort the date and XP change columns in the individual player XP history pages.

31 May 2005 - Changed website logo

You'll notice a new header for the site. I thought you may be sick of seeing my in-game outfit, so I decided to open up PhotoShop. Sadly, this is as far as my photoshopping skills go. Sorry about that! You get bonus points if you know which event I took the background screenshot from.

16 May 2005 - Added Powergamers page

Added the inevitable (it was the natural next step) Powergamers page! Remember that the statistics still only apply to people in the Top 500 listing, however.

29 April 2005 - Added XP histories (Top 500/Individual)

Added the Top 500 Experience History page. Shows XP gained or lost each day for the last 7 days (7th day will be updated automatically tomorrow). Also added individual XP history statistics for the last 30 days (these will also automatically update as the days progress).

26 April 2005 - Added link to lottery project

Added a link to my new project: Tibia Lotteries. It doesn't replace forum-hosted lotteries as such, but offers an unbiased and fair number drawing system for lottery hosters to use.

21 April 2005 - Added sortable "XP Change" column

Added a sortable "XP Change" column to the Top 500 page. Now not only can you see ranks gained and lost in the last 7 days, but also the actual XP amount. Thanks to Leferty for suggesting it!

14 April 2005 - Added kills page

Added the Kills page. This is a sortable list of kill statistics for all worlds combined.

6 April 2005 - April Fools Day GM Test, XP

Added a link to the April Fools Day Gamemaster test that I was involved in. It was quite fun and we got a lot of real responses! You can read all the details in the Tibianews article. You'll notice that the test doesn't contain the normal layout, as it was designed to fit in seamlessly with the Tibianews theme.

I was bored the other day and decided to use the GNU MP Bignum Library to create a script that gave the XP required for any level. Example: Level 100, Level 12345, etc. As you can see in the examples, it also tells you the level and XP required in words. The maximum level I set is extremely high! Hopefully no one will have XP in the vigintillions for a while, though. ;)

22 March 2005 - Added speed calculator

Added the Speed Calculator and Hotkey Switcher pages.

9 March 2005 - Added "change" column to Top 500 page

Added the "Change" column to the Top 500 Experience page. This field denotes the amount of ranks gained or lost in a 7 day period. "steady" indicates no change, whilst "new" means they are new to the Top 500 listing.

3 March 2005 - Added "Permalink" feature for houses/guildhalls

Added a permalink feature to the House and Guildhall lists. JavaScript is needed, and it has been tested successfully in the latest versions of Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Now there's no excuse for not paying the rent on time!

Here's two examples:

Central Circle 3 in Edron, on Antica.
Stonehome Clanhall in Edron, on Amera.

Enjoy.
